Whitesnake Concert in Jakarta
Are you a hard rock fans? If you are, then you must be pretty ecstatic to hear the news that one of the greatest hard rock band in the world will come to Jakarta for one night concert. Remember David Coverdale? Yup, it’s Whitesnake…! I got this news from 80′s mailing list and now I share it with you!
The concert will be held on Friday, October 31st 2008, at Tennis Indoor Stadium Senayan Jakarta. They will come to Indonesia as part of the World Tour 2008 package across the world. Before coming to Indonesia they’ll have at least four concerts in Japan from 23-28 October including two at the very famous arena of Budokan. After their tour in Asia they will be crossing Europe to stage many more concerts in Germany, Sweden, Holland, Denmark, and Eastern Europe on November-December. Quite a hectic schedule.
Their concert in Indonesia is arranged by Original Production. It’s stil more than a month from now so there’s still plenty of time to think and decide 
The price for a ticket quoted as follow :
VVIP : Rp 550.000 (seating)
VIP : Rp 250.000 (seating)
Festival : Rp 350.000 (Rock Standing)
It stated on the news that Whitesnake will have a surprise set list during the concert as they will also play some songs from Deep Purple in the era of David Coverdale. Including one of the most memorable ballad song ever, Soldier of Fortune. They will have a concert in a formation of David Coverdale (vocal), Reb Beach (guitar), Doug Aldrich (guitar), Uriah Duffy (bass), Chris Frazier (drums and percussions), and Timothy Drury (keyboards).
Whitesnake is an english hard rock band which was founded in 1977 by David Coverdale. They keep changing the formations so the continous member of the band actually has been only the founder and the front man, David Coverdale. The other members stretched from Steve Vai, Vivian Campbell, Adrian Vandenberg, John Sykes, etc. Most of them are legendary musicians.
Whitesnake have around 19 albums from studio albums, compilations, and live albums. From Snakebite (1978) to their latest album Good To Be Bad which was released on April 2008. They had their major success during the era of 80′s when they have several very succesful albums including their biggest one called Whitesnake (1987). That particular album sold over 8 millions copies only in U.S.
Some of the hilites from their hits are Still Of The Night, Is This Love, Here I Go Again, Give Me All Your Love, Slip Of The Tongue, Now You’re Gone, Fool For Your Loving, The Deeper The Love, Slide It In, Love Ain’t No Stranger, etc. They are expected to stage some of those songs besides the tracks taken from their latest album at the upcoming concert in Jakarta.

From those three songs above, I choose Still Of The Night as my favourite. It’s a purely fantastic song. Powerful vocal. State of the art music composition. The part that I like the most from this song is the middle part, where David Coverdale improvised by whisper and scream then the keyboard sound entered, followed by the anger of the guitar sound. Simply beautiful

iyah, sayang nih. Gue pikir tadinya batal krn pihak kita, tapi ternyata krn manajemen mreka yg mutusin. Jadi emang ga ada yg bisa promotor lakukan lah ya. Siapa tau reschedulnya bisa jatuh ke waktu yg bagus. Kita tunggu aja ya umbie

Gini nih,
kalo yg namanya batal or reschedule itu, at least udah pernah deal tertulis (=kontrak) dr kedua belah pihak. Contohnya kayak kasus 50 Cent. Mereka sudah pernah announce ke pers kalo mau ke Jakarta dan Adrie Soebono (dari JM) pun bisa nunjukin kontrak waktu ngumumin batal.
Lhah ini gazebo (ga zelas boo….) di situs resminya kagak pernah ditulis, mrk blom pernah announce (gak ada di situs luar negri yg biasanya pasang schedule world tour), adanya cumansitus2 orang indo doang. Makanya wakto lo ikut2an posting ini, gw ter-bengong2 skaleee…

Beda dg Rihanna, meskipun sampe skr masing simpang siur. Internet (kayaknya satu sumber) bilang tgl 14, di radio ada yg bilang tgl 15, 16 malah pernah denger tgl 17. Tapi gw yaqin BGT, Rihanna bakalan dateng tgll2 segitu. Soalnya pihak Rihanna sendiri udah announce ke pers dan udah konfirmasi di situs resminya.

huehehehe dr perspektif laen gue rasa berita2x itu bisa dimaklumi pren. Kalo cuman kelas Rihanna atau 50Cents mgkin kesannya biasa2x aja krn toh mreka artis populer jaman skrg. Tp kalo uda ngomongin musisi legendaris wajar banget yg namanya buzz bisa melebihi kepastian pelaksanaan konsernya. Dan itu sah2x saja dilakukan oleh promotor manapun yg kemudian dilansir oleh banyak media indonesia. Suasana harus dikondisikan utk menyambut itu. Target pasarnya jg berbeda.
