How to Make Money From Blogs – Episode 3
Here we are in Episode 3 about the tips on how to make money from your blogs. In Episode 1 I talked about Project Wonderful. In Episode 2 it’s all about Netklix. Now I’m gonna tell you another ad brokers called Backlinks. Different with Episode 1 and 2, Backlinks implement a simple mode of ads usually called as “Text Link Ads”.
Text Link Ads are basically blogrolls. As a blogger you do have blogrolls, don’t you. Usually you put blogrolls consist of links to your friends blogs on your sidebar. You put and leave them there without disturbing your blogging activity. You do it for free. Now you’re getting paid to put some links similar to blogrolls on your blogs. Simple.
Like blogrolls, Text Lins Ads are simply text. For example you can see on my sidebar there are now three text links ads available there under title Partner Links: “Best Hotels in Zurich”, “Golfshop”, and “Concert Tickets”. I’m getting paid just to put them there via Backlinks.
How much money you can earn to have Backlinks ads on your blogs? It depends on your google pagerank. Here are the current rates as of October 12th 2008 per text link per month:
PageRank (PR) 1 homepage $.50 , subpage $.50
PageRank (PR) 2 homepage $1 , subpage $1
PageRank (PR) 3 homepage $2 , subpage $1.50
PageRank (PR) 4 homepage $3 , subpage $2
PageRank (PR) 5 homepage $4.50 , subpage $3.50
PageRank (PR) 6 homepage $12.50 , subpage $10
PageRank (PR) 7 homepage $30 , subpage $25
PageRank (PR) 8 homepage $75 , subpage $50
Since this blog has google pagerank 3, having three text links from Backlinks means I will be paid 3 x $2 = $6. The payment will be sent via paypal within the 1st three days of each month.
All you have to do is simple. First off course you have to register to Backlinks. Then you have to insert the code into your blog. They also provide Backlinks plugin for you to upload and activate. After that just leave it there and continue your blogging activity. Backlinks will do the rest. If suddenly there’s text link about a product or service appeared on your blogs it means you’ll be paid on the 1st of next month. Easy.
The weakness of Backlinks in my opinion is that they use google pagerank as a rate references. We all know it’s quite difficult to reach very high google pagerank. I believe Alexa system is easier for blogger. The increasing value of Alexa points can be reached almost weekly. Hopefully Backlinks will use Alexa system in the future.

hello In, term pagerank refer to google pagerank which shows how’s the site/blog performance in google search engine. So basically it’s about traffic and links (inbound/outbound). Ayo In, make some other blogs with your own domain
