Movie Review: Transporter 3
I always believe that moviegoers should expect what they will get before watching a movie. Some might turn out to be better than the expectations, some are worse. Transporter 3 gave me exactly what I’d been expecting for.
Actually what did I expect from Transporter 3? Well, the fact is it’s an action movie, a sequel, middle class budget, and the US box office gross from its predecessors were actually far below $50 millions. Obviously it’s gonna be a “not to be taken seriously” movie. And I absolutely spot on there 
Transporter 3 still tells the story about Frank Martin whose job is always to deliver some dangerous “package”. As predicted from the beginning the “package” put him into trouble. He must fight against some heavily armoured bad guys. Many times with his martial arts skills. And in the end Frank Martin can beat all of them and win the girl. Simple.
One thing I like about Transporter movies is that they realize what kind of movies they are in. They’re not trying to be smart. A simple (and sometimes stupid) plot will do. And they make it as fun as can be out of it. Even in a fighting sequence.
Jason Statham is obviously a unique cast to play Frank Martin character. Moviegoers who know him right from Guy Ritchie’s works in Lock, Stock, and Two Smocking Barrels and Snatch, might consider him as a strong and funny character. Now he established himself with his own franchise as an action figure. Smart move I guess.
Luc Besson, one of the famous movie-making name in France, wrote the script for all the trilogy of Transporter. His unique style really shows up here. It quite reminds me of his script for Taxi movies. Perhaps he has never-ending obsession involving speeding cars.
Generally, I would recommend this movie to all moviegoers who don’t really care about the story and character developments. It’s quite fun to watch in your spare time.
