FIFA Confirm World Cup Bidders
Today FIFA just confirmed the list of all the countries who have bid to be the world cup host/s for the upcoming event in 2018 and 2022. As you all know Indonesia – our beloved country – have been determined to be the host of the world cup 2022. PSSI have been trying to spread the news about this intention to the Indonesian people throughout many medias.
I guess this official confirmation by FIFA will be more or less acted as a statement that PSSI will have to be – and I believe they have been – working very truly deeply really hard to meet the international requirements in staging the football competition. Across Asia, Indonesia will face tough competition from Australia, Qatar, South Korea, and Japan. Indonesia, Australia, and Japan applied to stage the event in either 2018 or 2022, while Qatar and South Korea applied only for 2022.
As an Indonesian surely I love Indonesia very much. Even if this initiative by PSSI looks almost impossible to be achieved, I still believe with all the hardwork it’s still within our limited reach. We all know that Indonesia have quite succeeded in staging the Asian Cup event several years back. Eventhough there was incident during the match when the lighting suddenly went down

Fifa Confirm Bidding Shortlist
Fifa has confirmed that 13 member associations have registered for the right to host the 2018 or 2022 World Cup.
All those who made an initial expression of interest in staging one or both of the events in February remain in the running after the 16th March deadline for applications.
That means Australia, Belgium and Holland, England, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Spain and Portugal, and the USA are all in the running for both competitions.
Meanwhile, South Korea and Qatar have registered bids for the 2022 showpiece.
“We are very pleased about the fantastic level of interest in our flagship competition, with all initial bidders confirming their candidature,” said Fifa president Sepp Blatter.
“The diversity and quality of the contenders will make this a very interesting selection process.
“This shows the importance of the Fifa World Cup as a truly universal event and the global power of this competition to help achieve positive change, in line with our claim: For the Game. For the World.”
The next step in the process will take place in April, when Bidding Agreements will be sent out to all the interested associations.
Each Bid Book must then be returned to Fifa by 11th December 2009, when a final decision will be made.

Setau gue sih ide awalnya emang dr PSSI yg diajukan ke kementerian pemuda dan olahraga selaku pemerintah 
bayangkan. kita bisa nonton semua bintang ngetop ngebantai tim indonesia 10-0 di senayan. mantap kan!
kalau kita segrup sama (misalkan) argentina, nigeria dan swedia misalnya. dibantai argentina 10-0, dibantai nigeria 6-0, dibantai swedia 8-0. asik kan…
hehe itu kalo maen skrg pren. Kalo n’tar taon 2022 keliatannya uda ada perbaikan lah. Apalagi kalo bener plan ambisius ini dpt lampu hijau dr FIFA, kabarnya PSSI bakal hire pelatih kelas dunia. Nama Guus Hiddink sempet disebut2x. Jadi ya kalo kalah ga sampe 10-0 lah. Mgkin 5-0 (lho?)
