Movie Review: Drag Me to Hell
I’ve been a long time admirer of Sam Raimi’s horror flick. Especially after I watched his legendary Evil Dead trilogy. His horror movies always offer some unique aspects, such as comical characters, over the top violence interaction between characters, some gory scenes, psychological horror sequences, and horror-comedy blending. After I found out that Drag Me to Hell is written and directed by him I just can’t help but watch the movie on the 1st day release in my town.
The story is simple. I don’t want to spoil it too much because it has some surprise element in it. In general, a female bank officer named Christine Brown is cursed by a gypsy old woman that her soul is going to be taken by an evil demon and she’s going to hell in three days. Yup, you read it right. She’s going to hell 
There are some part of the story that are quite difficult to predict. Especially if we’re talking about scenes. Just like Sam Raimi’s typical horror style, you will see some over the top scenes in this movie. For example in almost all scenes where Christine Brown interract with an old gypsy woman. I can’t tell you in details but it’s great and joy to watch. They are horror scenes but they can make you excited, smile, and scare at the same time.
Christine Brown herself is an interesting character. At first maybe you only see her as an ordinary girl. But near the climax you’ll be brought in to see deeper into her character. She turns out to be a lot nicer than we thought but unfortunately her soul is in deep shit. The fate that the story put on her will be so unfair to imagine.
But having said all of that, I have to admit that the star of this movie is the old gypsy woman. She really steals the show. Her appearance in every single scene is madness. I’m pretty sure that you don’t want to meet her again after the movie is over. Well, maybe she can win any best villain category in movie awards especially in horror movie awards
In general, it’s been a while since the last time I watched a considerably good horror movie. I don’t know why Hollywood often release a crap horror movie lately. Hope Drag Me to Hell can restart everything. It’s not great but I think it’s worth to watch.

I love horror movies, 
Btw I have a habbit of reading reviews especially checking out the ratings at IMDB first before watching a movie. Anything above 7 should not be disappointing, and this one got an 8.2
wow, it’s always nice to hear a lady who likes horror movies
Hehe yeah we share the same habit here. I also like to check the rating first on imdb website so I can manage my expectations 
But I think this movie will get 7 point something finally….
