Prameks
I’ve been spending my time in the last several weeks in two cities, Solo and Yogyakarta. First because my mother lives in Solo. Second, because I think I like Jogja 
. Third, because it only takes about 1-1.5hrs to travel from and to both cities. I don’t really like to travel by bus. So I travel by train.
Prambanan Ekspres or Prameks is the train available to travel from Jogja to Solo and vice versa. It takes only about 50 minutes to an hour for you go get to Tugu train station in Jogja from Solo. I’ve never tried to start from Solo Balapan train station because it’s quite far from where my mother lives. So I usually take off from Purwosari train station.
Prameks is an economy class train. No AC. Only fan. And you don’t always get a seat because it’s always full. So mostly you have to expect to stand a long the trip. But it’s ok. Personally I’d prefer to stand than to sit. Because it’s such a short trip and it feels great to stand in the train, especially if you compare to standing in a bus There are many Prameks train schedules every day. It starts from 6am to about 7.30pm. I can’t remember the exact interval between each train but I think it’s about 1-2 hours.
The ticket price is cheap. You have to pay only Rp. 7000 to travel from and to both cities. Every weekend there’s a special executive class Prameks in which you have to pay about twice as much for the ticket. But who cares about executive class to travel for an hour anyway.
So if you happen to visit Jogja or Solo someday and would like to visit the other city, just use Prameks. It’s fun

Purwosari, masa muda saya pernah ngekost disitu, nasi trancam deket stasiun manteb, ndak tau sekarang masih ada ngak ya?

nasi trancam di sebelah kanan (dr arah menghadap stasiun) bukan? msh ada tuh yg jualan di trotoar. Lupa namanya siapa yg di spanduknya
kl ada pramex full ac lebih nyaman kaliya, cobain nasi liwet depan mesjid jajar bos kl pagi2 dl sy suka sarapan di situ
yang jual ibu2x dan duduk di atas tiker yg digelar di depan mesjid itu ya? kyknya pas lewat situ msh liat deh
waaa.. goncangannya dredek-dredek ga, gis?
belom pernah ngerasain jogja-solo (vice-versa) pake kereta sih..
kyknya semua kereta bunyinya dredek-dredek deh
