I’m a Company Influenced Blogger

Well actually I have no idea if the terms mentioned on the subject is correct. What I mean is that the person who “provoked” me to blogging was someone who worked at the same company as me

I bet most of you know a song called Hitamku by Andra and The Backbone. Actually I kinda like it. It’s one of the so called “new song” that I like
Interestingly, when I first heard this song about couple months ago, it reminded me of Madonna’s old song. The title was Like A Prayer.

Now I wanna take you to the dance floor. Dance of the 80’s to be more precise. These are some of my precious collections. They belong to one of the popular dance singers of the 80’s, Noel. Remember him? Or perhaps you remember Silent Morning?

This song was one of my favourites during my childhood. There was a cassette in my home having this track. I didn’t own the cassette, it actually belonged to my relatives. The title was Hits of The World 1984. It was a truly fantastic collection. One of them was a song called Heart of The Universe by Chris Rainbow.

There’s a request to post some PSP links. So here we go. PSP stands for Pancaran Sinar Petromax, a comedy dangdut music group who were really famous back in the end of 70’s and 80’s. Unlike other dangdut singer or band, PSP were actually coming from university student environment. Most of them were the student of University of Indonesia in Jakarta, the best university in Indonesia.

Media used to call him “Pangeran Musik Indonesia” (The Prince of Indonesian Music). He’s talented, good looking, and dared to offer something different to the Indonesian music in his era. Pop creative, that’s what media used to call it, was quite something new in Indonesia back in the 80’s. Fariz RM was one of few pioneers in pop creative industry which later changed the stlye of Indonesian music in general.

Are you a hard rock fans? If you are, then you must be pretty ecstatic to hear the news that one of the greatest hard rock band in the world will come to Jakarta for one night concert. Remember David Coverdale? Yup, it’s Whitesnake…! I got this news from 80’s mailing list and now I share it with you!

Nope, it’s not the name of a motorbike released by Honda. In fact it’s a name of female Indonesian singer. Nicky Astria was the most popular Indonesian female rocker back on the 80’s and early 90’s. The era when most female Indonesian singers rather chose to become romantic pop singer than a rocker.

Today there’s a request to release some links about Andy Liany. Heard that name before? He was an Indonesian rockstar who’s really famous at the era of 90’s. At the time when I was still at my senior high school

Baru beberapa hari yang lalu gue mendengar kabar dari milis 80-an bahwa ada produser film yang ingin membuat lagiĀ film Catatan Si Boy (Cabo) yang melegenda di tahun 80-an. Ini berita yang sangat menarik. Sekalian gue share di sini.
